Jan: I happened to come across a google search which related Jan King and Janice Prahovic. Its been a long time since New Haven Bandstand, Connecticut Jr Miss, and Notre Dame Dances. My Mom (who recently passed away at 93) still had the picture of us at the ND Spring Formal which a very attractive gal (you) and me with my black eye from football spring practice ( she kept everything). I was so pleased that you have done so well, kept your humor and balance. I have retired from a 40 year Surgical practice in the Sacramento area, have 5 kids and 3 grandchildren.....one a month old. Best wishes and continued success. Greatly enjoy the columns, and your "look at the world".

Janice.....don't ask how I stumbled on the connection.....jan King and Janice Prohovic...guess I have too much time on my hands being retired, and not yet good enough for the PGA Seniors Challange...I did enjoy reading these, even a guy can have a sence of humor. Long time since Bandstand, Jr Miss and Notre Dame dances! Congrats on the grand kids....just had the latest of three myself.

Very best

Hey, Jan...
I just went through two and a half years of taking care of my Dad. He passed away last March at 91 yrs. It was hard to get through it, but I was glad to have him around for that long. I know your sense of humor is such a gift and will put a smile on the situation. You were sweet to go and care for him...

My Dad's sense of humor was a gift, too. Even on the last day he was trying to make us laugh. And if it makes you feel any better, I have a transistor portable radio from the 1960's of his that he hung onto...and a toaster from the 1940's that, believe it or not, still works.

Tivo? Heck, I'm still trying to figure out the DVD player. LOL

Love you,
Cheryl
